Silver clay starts as a soft, clay-like material made from tiny particles of pure silver mixed with a natural binder and water. I shape and texture it by hand, often pressing in delicate patterns or sculpting one-of-a-kind designs. Once the piece is perfect, it’s fired at a high temperature — this burns away the binder, leaving behind solid fine silver (99.9% pure).
The result is a piece of jewellery that’s:
• Completely handmade and unique, with no two pieces exactly the same.
• Fine silver (even purer than sterling silver!), giving it a beautiful bright shine.
• Able to capture incredible detail — I can press real leaves, flowers and shells.
